The Greatest Strength
One of the great “delights” of social media is how I now can easily pop on an app and within 15 second find someone screaming or explaining how they did something hard. Men in ripped shirts scream as they finish a workout, students share their 16-hour study days… it is the new normal to not only do what is hard but display your effort to the entire world.
What this generation has forgotten is that there is an even greater strength in doing something difficult and smiling while doing it. To do something terribly difficult and enjoy, takes another kind of strength. It is the hardest route because you do not hear the praise, hear the jealousy, you are only doing it for you. That is why it is the greatest thing you can do for yourself.
